Riyadh, January 7, 2026, SPA — The AlUla Tour 2026 organizing committee announced yesterday that the race has been upgraded to the UCI ProSeries second tier (2.Pro), placing it among the world’s leading professional cycling races.
The event will be held in AlUla Governorate from January 27 to 31. It will be organized by the Saudi Cycling Federation in cooperation with Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.) and the Royal Commission for AlUla, under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport.
The announcement was made during a press conference in Riyadh attended by officials from the organizing entities. Organizers also revealed the participation of elite world teams, along with the Saudi national cycling team.
The AlUla Tour will be held over five stages across varied routes that combine speed and endurance, offering a unique sporting experience in one of the world’s most distinctive natural and historic destinations.
The tour concludes Saturday, January 31, with Stage 5 starting from AlUla Old Town and finishing at Skyviews of Harrat Uwayrid over a distance of 164 km.
