Riyadh, February 13, 2026, SPA — Saudi Water Authority President Eng. Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Abdulkareem inaugurated the new identity of the Saudi Water Partnership Company (SWPC), “Sharakat,” during a ceremony at the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) in Riyadh, attended by officials and leaders from the public and private water sectors.
The launch of the new identity marks the continuation of the company’s development journey since its establishment in 2003, including its 2017 expansion as the Kingdom’s principal off-taker of water, covering desalination, transmission, treatment, and related infrastructure. This has strengthened its role in enabling private-sector participation and expanding strategic partnerships within the water sector.
SWPC serves as the Kingdom’s principal water off-taker and is responsible for tendering water infrastructure projects in partnership with the private sector, with investments totaling SAR 56 billion, fully financed by private entities. Contracted capacities exceed 10 million cubic meters per day of desalinated water and more than 1 million cubic meters per day of treated water, supporting the sustainability and efficient use of water resources.
