<a href="https://saudi-journal.com/riyadh-zoo-offers-safe-child-focused-environments-and-experiences-at-riyadh-season-2025/”>Riyadh, January 1, 2026, SPA — The Centre for Space Futures (CSF) has released a specialized white paper as part of its efforts to enhance governance in line with the rapid growth of the global space economy.
The knowledge paper titled “The Future of Space Law” reflects the CSF’s support for the development of international regulatory frameworks for space activities.It reviews leading international models for governance in shared domains, including the Antarctic Treaty System (ATS), the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and the regulatory framework of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). These models are presented as reference points for regulating space activities beyond national jurisdiction and for building trust and stability in this vital sector.
The paper also offers practical insights to enhance the sustainability of space activities by developing regulatory frameworks and standards that support the safety of space operations, encourage international cooperation, and create an attractive environment for investment, all while respecting the principles of international law and the sovereign authorities of states.
The CSF, established by the Saudi Space Agency and the World Economic Forum (WEF), is the first space-focused center within the WEF’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Network.
It serves as a neutral global platform to support the development of space policies, stimulate innovation, and strengthen international cooperation, contributing to the growth of the global space economy.
