Riyadh, March 02, 2026, SPA — The Asian Football Confederation (AFC), in coordination with the Local Organising Committee (LOC), announced today the match schedule for the AFC Asian Cup <a href="https://saudi-journal.com/saudi-arabia-hosts-largest-biotechnology-and-pharmaceutical-development-forum-bio-cphi/”>Saudi Arabia 2027, to be held from January 7 to February 5, 2027, across three host cities: Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
Riyadh will host matches at the King Fahd Sports City Stadium, the tournament’s largest venue with a capacity of 72,000 spectators, which will stage the opening match and the final, as well as Saudi national team matches, group-stage fixtures, and the Round of 16 and quarterfinal matches. Riyadh will also host matches at King Saud University Stadium, Kingdom Arena, Imam Mohammed ibn Saud University Stadium, and Al-Shabab Club Stadium, featuring fixtures across all stages of the tournament.
Jeddah will host several matches at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium. The new Al Khobar Stadium, with a capacity of 45,000, will host matches at all stages except the final.
Matchups and kickoff times will be confirmed following the final draw scheduled for April 11, 2026, in the historic At-Turaif District in Diriyah. Four remaining spots in the tournament will also be decided after the final round of qualifiers on March 31, 2026.
The tournament will implement the Team Base Camp (TBC) concept for the first time, aimed at facilitating team movements and providing dedicated facilities for each national team in the host cities.
