Jeddah, September 5, 2026, SPA — The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), chaired by the Ministry of Sport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held a training course yesterday to mark OIC Youth Day titled “Youth, Cultural Diplomacy and Leadership Skills Development” at the OIC headquarters.
The course responds to recommendations from ministerial conferences emphasizing support for the youth sector in the Islamic world, strengthening its role in development and humanitarian work, and empowering young people to address challenges facing Muslim communities.
In his remarks, ISF Executive Director Mohammed Aba Al-Khail reviewed the fund’s more than 50-year history, affirming that youth constitute one of the fund’s main areas of focus, as they are a key pillar in building and advancing societies and shaping the future.
He underscored the importance of supporting youth and developing their leadership skills, expanding their signs-its-participation-contract-for-expo-2030-riyadh/”>participation in volunteer work and community activities, particularly in the humanitarian field, in ways that contribute to serving the poor, those in need, and persons with disabilities, while benefiting from technological and economic advances and harnessing modern technologies in work and innovation.
Aba Al-Khail also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the OIC member states, the Fund’s Permanent Council, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the host country, in its capacity as chair of the fifth session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers.
