Jeddah, January 22, 2026, SPA – In Islamabad, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) signed three financing agreements <a href="https://saudi-journal.com/riyadh-air-enters-global-freight-market-with-riyadh-cargo-launch/”>with the government of Pakistan, with a total value of $603.4 million. The agreements were signed by IsDB Vice President for Operations Dr. Rami Ahmad, in the presence of Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Khan Cheema and several other officials.
The first agreement, valued at $118.4 million, will enable 68,500 households to improve their livelihoods by contributing significantly to job creation and human capital development.
The second agreement finances the M6 Motorway project for $475 million, covering 120.8 km of the Peshawar-Karachi Motorway, helping close the missing link of the north-south corridor.
The third agreement, valued at $10 million, supports a project to educate out-of-school children. It will reach 60,000 children through non-formal education pathways, upgrade 135 schools, establish 250 centers, train 4,000 teachers, and construct flexible and resilient educational facilities.
